"The well-known instant messaging app Emo has come up with a new 'secret chat' system to protect user information. It has an 'end-to-end encryption' system.

 Imo Bangladesh said in a statement on Monday (19-04-2021) through their public relations firm that their system has the facility to delete messages automatically or self-destruction after the end of the conversation. This means that the conversation will be deleted immediately if someone leaves the emoji after the message has been sent. It cannot be found later.

The new 'Secret Chat' feature can be found in the attachment bar of the chat interface of a specific person's number or contact in Imo.

The most important feature of this new feature is the decimation control function. Under this function, no one will be able to copy, forward, share and download private conversations. In addition, screenshots of conversations or videos can not be taken. So Imo users will be able to have different conversations about their personal issues with more confidence and security.

Emo added that in the last few months, various security measures have been taken to make users feel safer using Emo. In December last year, Imo introduced a phone number verification system to protect the information of users in Bangladesh.

About 150 million free calls are made through emojis every day in Bangladesh and videos and pictures are exchanged, the notification said. It further said that 9,600 crore messages have been exchanged through Imo in 2020. 2,600 crore audio and video calls have been made. "
